Some Advice •Make your reservations early. There are often shortages of rental cars on the island! •Verify your reservations a few days before you make your trip to the island. •If you are going to do any island exploring rent a four wheel vehicle! We were glad we did! •Some of the roads leading to the beaches and other areas are dirt roads and are BUMPY. Driving Info •When driving watch for horses, cows, dogs, and goats these animals roam freely. •The roads in Vieques are narrow, drive slow! •Major Roads in Vieques are marked....minor roads in neighborhoods are not marked. •Wear your seatbelt, fines are $50 per person (driver is responsible for passengers).
